What is our "AAA" Supervision Model?

​

  • We aim to provide individual and focused attention to our trainees and supervisees.

  • Access to highly personalized supervision and training from our Supervision Department.

  • We aim to provide ongoing action plans right from the start regarding accruing both restricted hours and unrestricted hours.

  • We aim to promote honest and rigorous accountability for our Supervisors and Trainees/Supervisees through continous evaluation proceducres and documentation, including a comprehension compentency evaluation based on the BACB 5th Edition Task List Access to a unique documentation system that can be used to track fieldwork experience and hours based on the BACB 5th Edition Task List.

TRAINEE EXPECTATIONS
  • Enrolled in an approved Masters program and has started the verified course sequence for the BCBA certification

  • Access to at least 1 client that they would be providing ongoing ABA-based therapy for

  • Permission from the client to record sessions to review in supervision

  • Reliable computer/laptop, internet access, and webcam/microphone for video conferencing

SUPERVISOR EXPECTATIONS
  • Complete an 8-hour BCBA supervision training course based on the BACB Supervision Training Curriculum Outline 2.0

  • An active BCBA certification and continues to accrue continuing education credits to maintain their certification

  • Fluent in, current in, and compliant with all BACB requirements relating to fieldwork

  • Aims to provide ABALC'S AAA supervision model to all their trainees and supervisees

Please refer to the BACB website for a complete description of the requirements for becoming a BCBA, BCBA-D, or BCaBA. It is required that the BCaBA practice under the supervision of a BCBA or BCBA-D.

BCBA and BCaBA Candidate Remote Supervision

ABA Learning Centre now offers remote supervision for those pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification. Both restricted and unrestricted hours are available, including group supervision. Observation of direct work with a client is required for a supervisory contract, and consent will need to be obtained from all parties involved (including if you are employed at an agency and looking for supplemental supervision).

 

Supervision is available at a flat rate of $400 for 6.5 hours (including 2 group hours).  An hourly rate for 1:1 supervision is available for $90 per hour, and group supervision is offered at $30 per hour.

Already be employed within an agency or working on teams.

Be in an approved program, or completed the required coursework.

Have access to a computer and recording device.

Please note that ABA LC is not responsible for finding the trainee job opportunities to gain supervision.
