What does it Assess?

  • Emotional functioning (e.g., anxiety, depression, mood regulation)

  • Thought patterns and coping strategies

  • Impact on daily functioning (e.g., sleep, appetite, relationships, academic/work performance)

  • Personal and family mental health history

Depending on individual needs, the assessment may also include:

  • Cognitive functioning

  • Executive functioning

  • Attention and impulsivity/hyperactivity

  • Personality or behavioural traits

Typical Format

Initial Consultation (first session)

This 1-hour session provides an opportunity to understand the individual’s current concerns, personal history, and goals for the assessment. This information helps guide the development of appropriate assessment tools and informs the development of a tailored evaluation plan, which is discussed during the session.

Assessment Sessions

Include standardized questionnaires, interviews, and/or cognitive assessments that are completed over one or more 2 to 3-hour sessions, depending on the referral questions.

Scoring and Report Preparation

All the collected information is scored, analyzed, and integrated into a comprehensive written report. The report is available approximately* 2-4 weeks after the final testing session.

*Please note: Delays in receiving forms/questionnaires will extend the timeline for completing the report.

Feedback Session

In this session, we discuss the findings, provide a clear understanding of any diagnoses (if applicable), offer individualized recommendations for treatment, support, and next steps, and answer any questions.

Please note that this is only an estimate; time will vary based on individual needs and the complexity of the assessment.
